EgyptAir is planning a new service connecting Cairo, Singapore and Sydney from 2027, creating a new travel link between Australia and Egypt.
The proposed EgyptAir Sydney flights will give Australian travellers easier access to Cairo, along with onward connections across Egypt, Africa, Europe and the Middle East through EgyptAir’s international network.
New travel link between Australia and Egypt
The planned service is expected to support tourism, business travel, education and trade between the two countries. It will also provide access to major Egyptian destinations, including Cairo, the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Mediterranean coastline.
Sydney Airport says Egypt is currently its largest unserved African market for Australian travellers. EgyptAir would also become the 54th airline serving Sydney Airport.
Flight details to be announced
The new Cairo–Singapore–Sydney service remains subject to regulatory approval. Flight schedules, aircraft type and ticket sale dates will be announced closer to launch.
