Qantas has unveiled new Business Suites for its future Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 787-9 aircraft, introducing greater privacy, connectivity and lie-flat comfort for Australian business travellers.
New Qantas A321XLR Business Suites
The new Qantas A321XLR Business Class cabin will bring fully lie-flat beds to a Qantas single-aisle aircraft for the first time.
The suites will be arranged in a 1-1 configuration, giving every Business Class passenger direct aisle access. Each suite will feature a sliding privacy door, a 19-inch entertainment screen, wireless and USB-C charging, complimentary Wi-Fi and dedicated personal storage.
The first of 16 A321XLR aircraft fitted with the new Business Suites is expected to arrive in 2028. These aircraft are intended for longer domestic routes, including transcontinental services to and from Perth, as well as selected short- and medium-haul international flights.
Updated Qantas 787-9 Business Class
Qantas has also revealed an updated Business Suite for its additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Each aircraft will feature 42 suites with sliding privacy doors, 80-inch lie-flat beds, wider footwells, larger entertainment screens and additional storage.
For corporate travellers, the new Qantas Business Suites are expected to provide a more private, comfortable and connected experience on longer domestic and international journeys. Specific routes have not yet been announced.
